Description
Are you a new student? Join us on campus to learn about Blue Ridge and our college resources and services! Faculty and staff will be available to answer any questions you may have about Blue Ridge and enrollment.
New Student Orientation at Blue Ridge Community College is designed to help you become familiar with the College environment and have a successful start to your educational journey.
Our goal is to answer your questions, connect you to campus resources, and help you CAPITALIZE on your college experience at Blue Ridge Community College.
All new students enrolling at Blue Ridge Community College are required to complete a new student orientation. If you do not attend the in-person option, the online course must be completed.

New Student Orientation is required for degree-seeking students, as it connects you to many campus resources.
New Student Orientation aims to prepare new students to be successful in their educational journey at Blue Ridge. During Orientation, students can expect to:
- Be exposed to support resources that the college offers, including tutoring, registration and advising, and financial aid, just to name a few.
- Hear from current students, staff, and faculty.
- Receive the opportunity to go on a campus tour.
- Meet your peers and learn more about how to get involved in Student Life and activities.
You are welcome to park in Lot A, which is directly outside of the Patton Building. A digital map of our Henderson County Campus can be found here.
Parents of students are allowed to attend New Student Orientation.
